BFRO Report from 1955…

The nails were not like a bear’s, but short and heavy like a man’s finger nails are. Its eyes were not light and large but small and black like a bear’s. You couldn’t see any knotted, corded muscles. This animal seemed almost round. It was as deep through as it was wide, and I believe if this animal should have been seven feet tall, it would have weighed close to 500 pounds. We have got to get away from the idea of comparing it to a human being as we know them.”

William Roe account — Highway worker has lengthy sighting at close range & records much detail

YEAR: 1955

SEASON: Fall

MONTH: October

PROVINCE: British Columbia

COUNTRY: Canada

LOCATION DETAILS: Five miles up Mica Mountain near an old deserted mine

OBSERVED: Ever since I was a small boy back in the forest of Michigan I have studied the lives and habits of wild animals. Later, when I supported my family in northern Alberta by hunting and trapping I spent many hours just observing the wild things. They fascinated me. But the most incredible experience I ever had with a wild creature occurred near a little town called Tete Jaune Cache, British Columbia, about eighty miles west of Jasper, Alberta.

I had been working on the highway near Tete Jaune Cache for about two years. In October 1955, I decided to climb five miles up Mica Mountain to an old deserted mine, just for something to do. I came in sight of the mine about three o’clock in the afternoon after an easy climb. I had just come out of a patch of low brush into a clearing, when I saw what I thought was a grizzly bear, in the brush on the other side. I had shot a grizzly near that spot the year before. This one was only about 75 yards away, but I did not want to shoot it, for I had no way of getting it out. So I sat down on a small rock and watched, my rifle in my hands.

I could just see the top of the animal’s head and the top of one shoulder. A moment later it raised up and stepped out into the opening. Then I saw that it was not a bear.

This drawing of the animal William Roe saw was done by his daughter under his direction.
This, to the best of my recollection, is what the creature looked like and how it acted as it came across the clearing directly towards me. My first impression was of a huge man, about six feet tall, almost three feet wide and probably weighing somewhere near 300 pounds. It was covered from head to foot with dark brown, silver-tipped hair. But as it came closer I saw by its breasts that it was a female. And yet, its torso was not curved like a female’s. Its broad frame was straight from shoulder to hip. Its arms were much thicker than a man’s arms, and longer, reaching almost to its knees. Its feet were broader proportionately than a man’s, about five inches wide at the front and tapering to much thinner heels. When it walked it placed the heel of its foot down first, and I could see the grey-brown skin or hide on the soles of its feet.

It came to the edge of the bush I was hiding in, within twenty feet of me, and squatted down on its haunches. Reaching out its hands it pulled the branches of bushes toward it and stripped the leaves with its teeth. Its lips curled flexibly around the leaves as it ate. I was close enough to see that its teeth were white and even.

The shape of this creature’s head somewhat resembled a negro’s. The head was higher at the back than at the front. The nose was broad and flat. The lips and chin protruded farther than its nose. But the hair that covered it, leaving bare only the parts of the face around the mouth, nose and ears, made it resemble an animal as much as a human. None of its hair, even on the back of its head, was longer than an inch, and that on its face was much shorter. Its ears were shaped like a human’s ears. But its eyes were small and black like a bear’s. And its neck was unhuman. Thicker and shorter than any man’s I had ever seen.

As I watched this creature, I wondered if some movie company was making a film at this place and that what I saw was an actor made up to look partly human and partly animal. But as I observed it more I decided it would be impossible to fake such a specimen. Anyway, I learned later that there was no such company near that area. Nor, in fact, did anyone live up Mica Mountain, according to the people who lived in Tete Jaune Cache.

Finally, the wild thing must have got my scent, for it looked directly at me through an opening in the brush. A look of amazement crossed its face. It looked so comical at the moment I had to grin. Still in a crouched position, it backed up three or four steps, then straightened up to its full height and started to walk rapidly back the way it had come. For a moment it watched me over its shoulder as it went, not exactly afraid, but as though it wanted no contact with anything strange.

The thought came to me that if I shot it, I would possibly have a specimen of great Interest to scientists the world over. I had heard stories about the Sasquatch, the giant hairy Indians that live in the legends of British Columbia Indians, and also, many claim, are still in fact alive today. Maybe this was a Sasquatch, I told myself.

I levelled my rifle. The creature was still walking rapidly away, again turning its head to look in my direction. I lowered the rifle. Although I have called the creature “it,” I felt now that it was a human being and I knew I would never forgive myself if I killed it.

Just as it came to the other patch of brush it threw back its head and made a peculiar noise that seemed to be half laugh and half language, and which I can only describe as a kind of whinny. Then it walked from the small brush into a stand of lodgepole pine.

I stepped out into the opening and looked across a small ridge just beyond the pine to see if I could see it again. It came out on the ridge a couple of hundred yards away from me, tipped its head back again, and again emitted the only sound I had heard it make, but what this half-laugh, half-language was meant to convey, I do not know. It disappeared then, and I never saw it again.

I wanted to find out if it lived on vegetation entirely or ate meat as well, so I went down and looked for signs. I found it in five different places, and although I examined it thoroughly, could find no hair or shells of bugs or insects. So I believe it was strictly a vegetarian.

I found one place where it had slept for a couple of nights under a tree. Now, the nights were cool up the mountain, at this time of year especially, and yet it had not used a fire. I found no sign that it possessed even the simplest of tools. Nor a single companion while in this place.

Whether this creature was a Sasquatch I do not know. It will always remain a mystery to me, unless another one is found.
I hereby declare the above statement to be in every part true, to the best of my powers of observation and recollection.

WILLIAM ROE

Sworn before William Clark, a Commissioner for Oaths in and for the Province of Alberta.

Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator John Green:

In addition to the information in this sworn statement, Mr. Roe made the following remarks regarding the sasquatch in a letter:

“The nails were not like a bear’s, but short and heavy like a man’s finger nails are.

I never did meet Mr. Roe and I knew very little about him, but in 1969 on a trip across Canada I met two zoologists in different cities who had corresponded with him concerning his observations of buffalo. They b

Bigfoot Attacks!

I’m watching the Hulu documentary Sasquatch right now, which so far has been pretty interesting, and got me thinking how many times has Sasquatch or Bigfoot been the named suspect or unwilling catalyst of a crime? Anywhere from he stole my homework to major crime he’s made a fairly good suspect for the “prove I’m lying” theory.

In the Hulu documentary he is blamed for savage murders in the Squatch and pot farm capital of the US. But, what other types of incidents has his name been dragged through the mud on? I found this gem digging around this morning.

According to NewsOn6.com in Oregon, Rogers County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene of a shooting to learn the suspected shooter and the shootee had been on a Sasquatch hunt when one man heard a “barking noise,” which frightened him – as one might expect when one is hunting large, hairy, mythical creatures in the dead of night – which caused him to jerk and shoot his friend in the back.

This guy is using the new “Sasquatch scared the shit out of me” defense. It’s actually a pretty good plan, an accident, it was an just an “accident”. Everyone has that one friend you want to go “hunting” with, right? If you’re a Bigfoot researcher you could totally use this excuse. I mean no one will ever go Bigfooting with you again, but now you don’t have to have that awkward “I don’t want to be your friend anymore” speech.

Here’s another interesting tale…

“The witness who talked to the missing man and child, went on to state that Fullmer told her he was “tripping out all night and could hear things but didn’t know what they were”; Fullmer also told her “Bigfoot had waved at them and bears paraded for [the 5-year-old boy] to keep him calm,” deputies said.

Fullmer told the witness that “they slept under a skidsteer,” and that when Fullmer and the boy were leaving the woods, he had the boy shake a tree (like Bigfoot) so they could be found, according to the complaint. The man was charged with child endangerment”

Although Bigfoot wasn’t charged with anything here, and may have actually been a hero. Dancing and prancing to Bare Necessities so the boy wouldn’t be scared, and most likely the one teaching an invaluable skill of tree shaking, he still got his hairy ass involved, however indirectly with a crime.

He’s such an easy fall guy, he makes himself a perfect target, first with that whole “Green Wall” bullshit, never ratting out another Bigfoot, or coming forward as a witness to probably hundreds of murders out there in the forest. His hiding out from us, leaves him vulnerable, and we can blame him for whatever we want.

I hope wherever he is, he can peek in a window and watch Hulu and other docs about him and maybe decide to come forward to set the story straight for all of it. Till then…

“I’m sorry officer, I know I was going a hundred, but I was trying to get away, did you see the huge ass ape thingy chasing me!’

It’s going to work too, he can’t prove it wasn’t there. 😉

Enjoy your day everyone….

“How can we co-exist?

If you can’t respect…

Respect this

My home

Your Forest, my home

You can’t expect me to keep wandering

Never to be with my peoples

Just keep wandering alone

You think it’s wonderful

that you may have found my nest

Not a scientific find,

it’s the place I stop, the place I rest

I keep going further in and further in

To stay out if your species ever expanding way

But you just keep coming and coming at me

Every. Single. Day.

My guttural call out

Telling you how scared and stressed I am,

to just please keep away

But you’re oblivious

So you knock and knock

And you keep coming anyway

So co-exit? I don’t think so

You want it all, the greed, your ego

Would that you could go your own way

and that I could go mine

But the engine keeps coming

Cutting through the forest,

like you’re chopping out a mine

The hum of that never ending engine

grinding and grinding

Taking it all In your human way

The way of mankind, yes, taking it all

Don’t leave nothing behind

And force me and mine out of safety,

out of hiding…”

Bigfoot of the 70s…#1

In the 70s Bigfoot was all that and a bag of chips. Many sightings reported and many movies and documentaries were made. The In Search Of Bigfoot episode is what most Bigfoot researchers claimed started them on this path.

But it was just documentaries that he starred in, he was a cash cow, the used the band Kiss’s marketing plan and put him on everything and everywhere.

So I thought I’d start a little Bigfoot of the 70s series and bring us all back in time. For this first in the series. I stumbled on a TV Guide listing of himself starring in an episode of Six Million Dollar Man. It will bring back all the love and nostalgia you have just reading it

He was in three episodes, one episode starring Andre The Giant! Too cool, am I right? The remaining played by Ted Cassidy, Lurch from The Addams Family, which is almost as good). I’m sure if you were watching back then it was absolutely epic! Look at all the wonderful company he was listed with.

Season three episode 16, the two part episode titled, The Secret of Bigfoot is thought to be the most popular one. And eventually inspired a book of the same title and lots of merchandise. If you own the Bigfoot action figure from the show, then you are envied by all. Including me.

This two-part episode was released as a theatrical film in many parts of Europe, North America (Mexico), and South America as well, it was truly loved by the world over.

The best thing is you can still watch it today! A tip from a follower told me that you can watch them on the NBC APP. Here is the link if you’d like to travel back in time to when everyone had long hair and sideburns and you tripped over the hem of everyone’s bell bottoms…

Bigfoot in the News #5…Mysteries and Monsters

“If you’ve taken home movies of Bigfoot, the monster that roams the Northwest, it could be worth more than 10,000 to you. Producer David Wolper, will pay at least that much for usable footage in his new dramatized documentary Bigfoot. The Mysterious Monster.”

The Nashua Tribune,

September 12th, 1975

The Mysterious Monsters was the first movie to feature the home movie taken by Roger Patterson in 1967 reported to show a Bigfoot. Anthropologist Grover Krantz was interviewed and said he believed the film to be authentic. Famed Bigfoot hunter Peter Byrne was also featured and gave insights on the hunt. Robert and Frances Guenette are credited as the authors of a 160-page book adaption of the film.

The film was later featured in an episode of Cinema Insomnia.

Trees Or Not Two Trees…

What do you see when you look at this picture, and where the arrows are directing you where to look? Don’t answer yet! Now read the following sighting report below , then look again.

David Arceneaux said he felt a chill as he looked across Block Bayou at a line of trees about 100 yards away.

“I’m not crazy. I don’t do drugs and I’m not a drinker,” Arceneaux said before telling his tale of seeing not one but two Bigfoot-like creatures huddled together one December morning.

The Nederland, Texas, native visits Oak Bluff Cemetery about once a month to clean the graves of a friend and a cousin, something he has done for years without incident. But on an overcast, windless day, Arceneaux said he got the fright of his life.

“I heard a blood-curdling scream and a lady nearby asked me if I was OK. I told her it wasn’t me,” Arceneaux said. “We walked over to the water and looked to the left then straight ahead.”

He said what he saw next amazed him. Two Bigfoot-like creatures who had been throwing rocks in the water looked across at him and the unknown female. One was standing next to a tree, arms around the trunk and the other was squatted down. As the second creature rose from the crouching position Arceneaux estimated the creature was about eight-foot tall. So he snapped a photo with his phone, he said.

“All of a sudden they started walking then running through the woods,” he said of the bipedal creatures. “When they began to run, the lady said ‘I’m leaving’ and left. I stayed a few more seconds and then thought there may be a way for them to cross here so I left, scared.”

Arceneaux said he could see the face of the creature “clear as day.” There was hair from the mouth down like a man and when the creature turned he could see hair hanging down its arm.”

Now go back again and look at the picture. Do you see anything different? Did you opinion on the picture change at all when you looked again?

For some, your opinion probably didn’t change, but for others? Well they may have seen two Bigfoot standing under those arrows (Arrows were already there). The reason I put you all through that little exercise is because, when you’re in that situation and have had an encounter that overwhelming you are likely to see Bigfoot because it’s on your mind at the time and likely always on your mind. I haven’t had that experience yet I admit, but I would imagine it’s pretty traumatizing and that I would probably see Bigfoot in my toast as well.

So although my opinion of the above is trees, it does not mean he’s faking the picture or trying to hoax you etc. He may actually see Bigfoot in that picture. He was there we were not. When you’re in that situation you have a completely different perspective. It’s funny, most all agree Bigfoot can most likely blend well into his environment and that, that is why he is able remain elusive and disappear back into the forest a second, but yet if someone shows a possible example of that, we all yell trees!

The purpose of writing this post was to explain that when you are in the woods vulnerable and you see this creature I think you could get a form of PTSD from it and everything you see then comes up Bigfoot.

So when we analyze these kinds of hinky questionable looking photos on the internet let that person down with respect. Don’t always believe they are hoaxing you from the start, because you never truly know. If they believe it’s actually Bigfoot then they are not trying to hoax. So when you get ready to type “trees”, type kindly, we will never truly know what they thinking because we weren’t there, and just because you’re being kind with your comments and reviews it doesn’t mean you accept their picture as Bigfoot it just means you have class…

Disclaimer:

Although I believe in my opinion, that the above picture looks like trees, it does not mean I don’t believe he had an encounter or that He doesn’t believe those are Bigfoot In that picture…

Above excerpt of encounter from:

Bigfoot..The Conspiracy

I was able to carve out some time to catch another Bigfoot movie this month so I picked Bigfoot…The Conspiracy. I normally never look at descriptions or reviews before I watch and review, but I admit I did cheat this time and peak at others reviews on Amazon.

The reviews were as expected from hate to enjoy but I fall to enjoy here on their scale. One reviewer said they obviously didn’t do any research because they had Bigfoot’s behavior all wrong and another said they definitely did their homework because their behavior was portrayed straight on. I literally have no idea what to say other than one of those reviewers obviously doesn’t know anything about Bigfoot. Just saying. After you see it you can choose which one you agree with.

So I put on the movie waiting to see how well the big guy ways were portrayed. I found that they definitely did some research. I mean they filmed a sequence in a Bigfoot Museum with the lead trying to do some research, so you know they did some and that scene was letting the viewers know they did.

The synopsis of the movie was that a retired Border Patrol agent went to see his In Laws to visit with his wife and is told how animals are going missing and they are hearing weird howling at night etc. so he offers to go check it all out. Now that’s one of storylines happening here. There also appears to be a shadow government experiment conspiracy happening here as well. That’s were it gets a little confusing for me. I’m not a hundred percent sure I understood what was happening with that. But it didn’t ruin the movie for me, or the ending and I’m not going to spill all the beans and ruin the movie for you.

Overall I liked this movie. I’m a huge fan of indie, as most Bigfoot movies are these days. This was another good one for me. The Big Guys costume I was not able to get a full on look at because his appearances were more shadows and subtle but it worked. Was it the best acting in the world? No, but it worked. I recommend watching it if you’re a Bigfoot enthusiast and as I always say never just go by a review you read, you should always see it for yourself because we don’t all have the same taste in films. But if you like Bigfoot I’m pretty sure you will enjoy the movie.

Let me know some of your thought about it…

What You Need To Go Bigfooting…

I thought I’d start Thursday off to a quick refresher of techniques and equipment for us Bigfooters in the field….here we go!

• Look for Bigfoot prints (to me that’s size 6 or a above)

• Bring casting supplies (so you can leave them in a car)

. Bring your cellphone (to take the worst pictures even though you have a 10x Max cell)

. -Bring a backpack (so you can stuff it with so much 💩 you tip over)

. Know your wildlife sounds ( so you don’t chase a raccoon halfway to Texas)

• Bring night vision (so if a bear does 💩 in the woods you won’t miss it, then you can answer that mystery for us)

. Look behind you, (because he’s tailing you, not the other way around)

. Bring a weapon (so you can accidentally shoot Fred in the toe out there because he drives you nuts, and blame it on Bigfoot!)

. And lastly, for today anyway, bring your sense of humor because there’s a 90% chance we won’t find him out there, and we need to remember to enjoy our time (because chances are high that we are very lost and won’t find the damn car)

I should mention that Fred is a fictional character. And most of these accounts actually happened to me. And maybe happened to some of you too (except shooting Fred, please don’t shoot Fred).

Have an awesome morning everyone, hope I made you smile!

If you have a ridiculous moment out there feel free to share…

I was Kidnapped by a Sasquatch…The Snuff Box Defense

A Port Langley man says he was kidnapped and held captive for one week by a Sasquatch Family. and was able to escape when he fed one a box of snuff.

I was Kidnapped by a Sasquatch, Snuff Box to Rescue By Bill Dunford in the Province Newspaper, May 1955

A Port Langley man says he was kidnapped and held captive for one week by a Sasquatch Family. and was able to escape when he fed one a box of snuff.

ALBERT OSTMAN, M. of 10263 McKinnon Road, told his story this week to William Roe, fin, of 5085 Pacific Highway. Cloverdale. Mr. Ostman and Mr. Roe were brought together after Mr. Ostman read of Mr. Roe’s experience in sighting a female Sasquatch as published in The Province April 23.

Mr. Ostman said he was on a prospecting trip about 75 miles north of the head of Toba Inlet ) when he was kidnapped during the middle of the night by “the old man” Sasquatch as he slept in a sleeping bag in the summer of 1924.

Pic from Look and Learn Publication

“I DIDN’T KNOW it was the old man Sasquatch at the time,” Mr. Ostman said. “All I knew is that I was being carried and that the sleeping bag was pulled so tight around my neck that I almost choked. He just slung me over his shoulder and away he went.”

He was taken to a cave-like shelter under a rock cliff where he saw an old female Sasquatch and a young male and female. The “old man” was about, seven feet tall and weighed between five and six hundred pounds. The “old lady” was slightly smaller, while the young male stood six feet and weighed two hundred pounds. The young female was about six feet tall and one hundred pounds.

Their food consisted of fruits and nuts, and no meat. Mr. Ostman said he was running short of supplies and decided be must escape from the family, although at no time did they molest or harm him. “They were definitely human, , although primitive, and seemed more curious about me than anything.” he said. “Every time I would attempt to leave though, the old man would block the way. “But one day I was taking a bit of snuff and I noticed the old man was very curious, so I handed him the tin. He just opened his mouth and emptied the tin in one gulp and was he ever sick.

“WHILE THE old man was busy being sick, I grabbed my belongings and ran as fast as I could. “I got away okay, and I wasn’t harmed a bit. But after living with them a week, I’m sure they are merely a band of Indians that have lost touch with civilization. “They don’t want to harm anyone, and don’t want anyone to harm them. My advice to anyone going out hunting for them is to just leave them alone. They probably don’t want any part of us and I don’t blame them.

“THEIR SPEECH was a sort of chattering, and even though they wore no clothing.they used blankets made of moss woven with strips of cedar bark, and they never used a fire.” Mr. Ostman agreed the female Sasquatch sighted by Mr. Roe was “quite probably” the young female of the family which held him captive, and was now grown up.

As I read this article (which I haven’t done in years), I realized he was describing this Bigfoot family exactly how I’ve always pictured them. Primitive, by not necessarily primates. More man, an evolutionary split some home. They would be in a family unit and have a unique language just like we have one.

That they may want to scare us off, but not all necessarily want to kill us. They simply want to be left to themselves. Granted being dragged off in the night in the sleeping bag is not ideal, he felt they just wanted to study him, and why not, we would do far worse to one of them. Imagine living your life while hundreds or more people are after you everyday.

For all we know their possible migration routine could be to also avoid us, not just for food sources. Yes they may want to scare us with rocks, knocking and such, but has anyone ever said they saw him snap a neck or physically attack species to species?

Maybe instead of guns or knives we need to carry snuff boxes for defense because at least we know that one works. I’ve always felt that the more passive role out there in the forest you play, less equipment, less weaponry the less you seem like a threat and the more you can relax, the more likely a chance you may have to see one. But everyone has to do their research in their own individual way, this is just how this girl does it…

It’s the way I conduct myself out there, and no, I haven’t seen one with my naked eyes yet, but I’m sure a time or two something was there, but as I always say, don’t be disappointed if you don’t get dragged off im the night in your sleeping bag half asleep, just enjoy your time out there, your peace and quiet, if it is meant to happen it will. Just keep on believing and throwing out your positive vibes to the world…

Finding Jay…Lost and Found

Everyone has a journey they must take in life, everyone’s path is different, this is one man’s road…

Researcher Jay Bachochin along with his wife, Katie Bachochin started this journey by founding WPI Hunts the Truth to investigate the paranormal and UFOs, to help understand and explain things they had heard about and witnessed themselves.

After a few years of investigating they decided to check out the infamous Kettle Moraine, (which they live a stones through from). While they were out there one day they came upon a large print that was definitely not a bears.

A new journey begins…

After finding the print, and having an encounter himself, his focus shifted to solving the mystery that was and is Bigfoot.

He took some friends on his journey…

A firm believer and ambassador of not hiking alone, he took family and friends out in the field with him, along with witnesses who had their own encounters to add to this story.

Five years of research later…

After five years of doing research and gathering evidence in the Kettle, a documentary was born. Finding Jay was a culmination of footage from personal encounters, witness interviews and some history of the Kettle. It was released in 2019 to mostly positive reviews and trust of the people who follow his work.

Thankful…

After what can only be described as one of the worst years we’ve had as humans, Jay wanted to give something back to his followers, so he put together a companion to Finding Jay in the form of extended scenes, interviews, and a blooper reel. I was able to get an early preview of Finding Jay, Lost and Found, and I have to say I really enjoyed the extended interviews with the witnesses. Their encounters hit home just a little bit more for me. If you enjoyed Finding Jay, like myself, then you will definitely enjoy this. It will be available free of charge on YouTube beginning Black Friday, so when you’re done enjoying your family and your turkey and your mad shopping, you can look forward to sitting back and relaxing knowing you have a new documentary to watch.

Until then, I thought I’d check in with Jay and see what he’s been up to this past year or so. Here’s a little Q and A…with Jay.

What has the response to Finding Jay meant to you?  I am overwhelmed with the positive feedback from all over the world and that truly humbles me. People thank me for delivering such an honest documentary. A lot of people say they’ve been experiencing similar encounters. This is exactly why I created my documentary as to unify people with the Truth. I’ve made so many new friends and I couldn’t ask for anything more. I’ve been blessed.

What are your  plans for a second documentary? Great question ! What are my plans? Well, since I never stopped researching (even as I produced Finding Jay) I have only used my first 5 years (2013-2017). I never stopped researching so I have all of 2018, 2019 & 2020 respectively. However like my first documentary, I want to put out quality not quantity of my research. With that being said, I may not revisit a sequel for another year or two.
What made you want to release this for
free to your followers? Well this question is a follow up to a sequel. Since I am about putting out a quality film instead of ‘just because it’s been a year and a half’ I decided to answer those that have contacted me requesting another film. I wanted to give back to those that fell in love with my film and supported me along the journey of my first film. Since I couldn’t put all the content in my first film I thought what a perfect way to complete my original story with extended interviews, deleted scenes and of course, a gag reel. I felt that people shouldn’t have to pay for extras as this film isn’t a direct sequel …. and hey …I’m in the giving mood with all that’s been going on in this glorious year called 2020. I think we should all be thankful and be kind to our fellow neighbors.
Has your research philosophy out in the field changed at all since Finding Jay was released?  I use different pieces of equipment but my techniques remain the same. I now use a FLIR TK Scout Thermal Imager and have attached a shotgun mic to my H1 Zoom to catch the far away sounds in the woods. But the best addition to my equipment is using a Boblov Body Cam. Now my philosophy of what I’m looking for has not changed. I stand in the dark woods waiting for the day that I make contact with these ancient woods people. There is humanity in them, I can feel it.
Has your specific research area grown to include other parts of the kettle?  No. I’ve been researching the same 5 areas for 7 years now and don’t plan to expand. It’s about being tenacious and patient in the areas that deliver good results. However, I never say never.
Have you had more recent sightings reported on that area at all in the past year? Yes, and it was extraordinary.  The encounter happened in the pitch dark but was recording using the FLIR Thermal Imager so I could really see it. The way it peeked on both sides of the tree was so extraordinary. This will definitely be in the sequel.
Do you feel perhaps like you’ve been found now and it’s a matter of a type of contact you’re seeking? Absolutely! l feel that they have been trying to make contact but they still haven’t stepped out from shadows. I don’t take offense to this or get discouraged because I believe their way of living is to ‘not’ be seen. Even if they trust that I wouldn’t reveal the evidence of where they reside, maybe they know something about me that I don’t? Maybe they think I would change my mind? Either or …I will never stop trying.
What do you bring out with you when you’re in the field? The question is what DON’T I bring into the field. I do not carry any firearms as I believe they (like a dog can sense fear) they can sense confidence. People carrying firearms feel safe because they have protection, thus, feel confident walking into the dark woods. This I believe they’ll stay away from. Now I am all about safety in case I do run into wildlife predators or worst yet …bad people. I do carry 21” machete, Beer Spray, sharp hunting knives for protection as I don’t want to kill a living thing but something that will get me to safety while they are tear gassed on the ground. Also, use a 1500+ lumens flashlight. A predator can’t attack if he can’t see as he is blinded. As far as evidence collecting I use a body cam and an audio device clipped to my backpack. In my shoulder bag I carry an IR flood light and IR HD cam. Finally, my FLIR Thermal Imager hangs around my neck. I try to be as hands free as I can.
Any sage advice for any up and coming researchers who may have watched your documentary, and now they want to get out there themselves? That’s the only way to Hunt the Truth is to go out and discover for yourself. With that said, Safety should always be your number one measure in a successful hike. Always go with another person or two. NEVER GO OUT ALONE ! While you may not get kidnapped by a Bigfoot, a lot of other natural accidents can happen or running into wildlife predators and again worst case …. running into bad people. Know the area you want to research. Pull out maps, study the trails. Know what kind of wildlife that is in your area. While I never hike alone, I still text my wife the area and time I arrive and depart. That way at least someone knows where to begin looking IF anything bad was to happened. Lastly …have FUN doing this. It’s great to get into nature with friends. Enjoy your journey.
You have a new website up and running now, what are your plans for it? My website is a wealth of information from seeing evidence I have captured, the people I hike with, some good blogging material, Merch and best of all, to keep up to date of what podcasts, TV or radio that interviews me. There you can listen to my obsession of the passion that’s in my life …and that’s Bigfoot. My site is basically a hub of people like me and you relating and sharing our experiences and evidence to help solve the mystery of the Bigfoot Phenomenon
