Under the Blood Moon…

It’s 11:00 on a Tuesday night. I hiked this morning for four hours and I’m feeling it now boy. But I still wanted to get outside and see this moon.

It’s hard to believe our luck that this moon was pulled into our obit at just the right place to help create and sustain our life.

Seeing the moonshine on my lake is so calming to me. And I’m thankful and blessed to be living here to see it.

Every hectic and crazy thing that happened today has completely melted away, And I knew I had to share it with you.

I hope you’re viewing and reading this somewhere amazing too. Just look up, breathe and let the moon take you away.

If you could watch this moon tonight from anywhere in the world where would you like to be? For me, I’d love to go to Scotland and see that full moon just once and maybe find me a Laird to watch it with….but till then this is just perfect.

Enjoy your night, enjoy the video, and hey, let me know where you watched it from tonight and where you would like to go see it someday.

Peace everyone, and remember one moon, one planet, one species…the human race…

Thoughts Under a Tree…

“As I’m sitting here below a canopy of trees
Listening to the bird’s song playing above me
I think, how can anyone not love this?
How can they not be here?
But they are out there,
consuming and consuming without care
Look down at your babies and say
I don’t care if the planet is here for you one day
That if you grow up and it’s gone
That you didn’t do anything at all to save it along the way
You cut down every tree, paved every patch of land
I don’t know why humanity doesn’t understand
Every person needs the oxygen of nine trees to live
Look at the few trees around you,
The stumps only you left in your yard
Then maybe you’ll have two shits to give
When you have no animals to eat because you mowed down all the grass
How long do you think we can last?
I try to drive home this message with all that I do
Because if all out messages don’t work,
we are done as a species, there is no other planet, we are through
Maybe one day some form of life will look through our fossil record
And put the pieces together, that yes, it was us that wrecked it”

Bigfoot in the News…#8

The latest search for Bigfoot was triggered by tlhe finding of apparently human hair near huge, man-like footprints near St. Helens. Robert W. Morgan, director of the American- Yeti said hair was from a search of his camp Monday that The hair was near where giant footprints were found about a month ago by tracker in a dense forest.

The trackers were on a trail when they came upon a small stream As they started to cross the creek, they noticed a very fresh scuff mark on a moss-covered rock.

That was where the hair strands were found. Morgan said the tracker spotted huge man-like footprints nearby as well. The prints were up stream about 20 yards then circled back near the other tracks before the trail just disappeared. “That’s exactly the movement a primate would make if it was wishing to observe without not being observed,” Morga suggested. ‘I’m not saying it was Bigfoot, but it’s unlikely that a barefooted human would go running around in that area, if it was a human, why would he want to hide from two other humans?” Mary Joe Florey, a microbiologist from Portland, Ore., examined the hair and concluded it was human, most probably from an ankle or leg,. Morgan said analysis of the hair will continue, – including comparison with hair he found two years ago on a fence near spot where deer had been savagely killed and also where other large footprints had been discovered. ‘If it was a Bigfoot, then it opens up many new doors,’ said Morgan, who has led group of scientists and trackers; this summer in a search for the creature. “It’s something we’re very excited about.” He said, the hunt for a Bigfoot will continue in the south western -Washington area “until the snow flies”.

Werewolf Wednesday…The Tale Ends…

Little Red…

A howl in the dark

Showing teeth but I can’t see

He’s waiting, watching, stalking me

He knows I’m in here

He can smell all the fear

He waiting for the darkest part of the night

To savor all my fright

Nails clicking on the floor

Followed by the bang at the door

The Wolfie…

Oh little red…

I’m going to do to you what I should have done before…

Come on there little red riding hood

You still are looking good

You’re everything that a big bad wolf could want…

You may have gotten away before

But I won’t trip this time on granny’s panties on the way to the door

No disguise at all

I left the sheep suit at the mall

Your blood is gonna be spilled

Tsk tsk little red riding hood

You aren’t really all that good

You should have known I’d come

This tale is about to be done…

Forest Fairy…

“In my dreams

I’m surrounded by beautiful, beautiful green

I lay down on the forest floor

I feel the pines on my skin

God if I could just do this everyday

I’d have no complaints to say

I dream I’m gazing up at the clouds

And I know I want to live this life Loud

I want to spread the message

That this is how we should live our life

No more bad days, no more anger

No more lies

Just peace, breathing in and out

The crisp air making me feel alive

Tracing the bark of the tree with my fingertips

Feel all the different patterns and all it’s scars

Running the dandelions on my chin

Like we used to do when we were kids

Smelling the wildflowers

Blocking my eyes from the sun

That one beam of light that reached the forest floor

It’s where the old me transforms

And I see everything clearly

And I know life can be more…”

Into the Woods…Walpole Town Forest #2

Yesterday was a gorgeous day so I went off to explore The Walpole Town Forest again. It’s a place I try to get to each season every year. Every time I go I find so many new things to love about it.🌳

This amazing network of forestry is around 400 acres of beautiful trails and scenic views of the neponsit river, ponds and swamps.

But it isn’t just an amazing place to hike, swim and relax on a stroll using one of the short loops it’s also full of history as well. Like a snapshot in time.

While you are strolling through you will see ruin remains of stone homes. A sitting spot in what was once a beautiful garden and cemetery of the family who lived and worked this land.

The other Snapshot in time is the remains of an old mill that was part of the birth of the industrial Revolution. This land adapted to the changes of the times and how fun it is to see it all as you walk along! I highly recommend reading more about it when you can.

*As a disclaimer the fireplace was filmed back In November of last year.

Woman of the Woods…The Miracle

I want to tell you a story today, it’s not about a Bigfoot, it’s about this dog and his master, I’m not going to use their names to give them some privacy. The first thing I want to say is what a magnificent looking dog he is. Isn’t he?
This wonderful dog is a support dog for his very sweet mommy whom I met today. She is an older woman who has been diagnosed with MS. It’s one of the scariest diseases out there. And how you deal with it is a matter of mental life or death I would imagine. Staying positive is probably not always easy but this wonderful woman did.
We chatted for quite awhile, more than hour, she surprised me telling me how she was a hunter, hiker and all around outdoors girl. She hunted with arrows, rifles etc. fished, hiked, nature photographer, just amazing. She told me all about the flora and fauna in this park as well as some of its history. You can hear her talking a bit in my video from yesterday.
Many, many years ago the doctors told her she had 3 to 5 years tops to live . She did eventually end up wheelchair bound. But with a lot of therapy, strength and determination here she is out here with me. She made it all the way to the river on her own steam, walking with just a cane and her handsome dog. A miracle. But wait there is more…
Now to her adorable doggo. This amazing pup, she trained on her own to be her support dog because everyone said this terrier, that she rescued, could never be a support dog.
Well he is, and now it was his turn to rescue her.
Walking at this beautiful location awhile back one of her legs just gave out and she fell and couldn’t get up, so this amazing animal took off and found a couple walking that he led to his master, who saved her because she couldn’t get back up without help.
They are both an amazing pair. They rescued each other. Love and loyalty. Everyone counted this little dog out and now he’s a hero. They counted her out and here she is.
I was glad her legs and mine were both walking on that river yesterday so I had this wonderful opportunity to meet her.
She said she lives for this, getting outdoors keeps her going. She forgets all about her pain etc. I know the feeling some days.
If ever you think a dog is trying to lead you somewhere please follow, someone may need your assistance. And never count out the little ones they can rise high for the occasion when needed.
And never count this lady out either she is one tough cookie, a true woman of the woods…

Walked Beside You…

I’ve always been here

I’ve always roamed these lands

It is you that doesn’t understand

We were the stewards of this land

I’ve always walked beside you

At times I led

Then I was hunted

Then I hid

You are not ready to remember yet

How I was already here

You are the creature that is strange

You are the creature that is to be feared

I, I have always been here

I feel we won’t survive you, You, humanity

We hide, try to leave no trace

Only on accident will you see our face

For If I, we don’t hide, everything will die

Everything destroyed, from the greed and ego of the human race…

Lover of Wolves…

She’s been a lover of wolves all her life

She would love to see one in person one day if she could

She blinked and she was outside were one in front of her proudly stood

Oh, if only she could pat his fur

He took one step closer, and nothing more

Oh, if only she could scratch him under the chin

He took one more step and stopped again

Oh, if only she could look into his eyes,

What would she see?

He took another step now looking straight into her eyes

Oh, If only she could count those teeth and see how sharp they are

He moved right in front of her and opened up his jaw

Oh, so wide I can fit my head right in

I’m going to need to for this counting to begin

She put her head right in his mouth

Is this the ultimate display of trust between these two?

Or a cunning trick for a meal

Because once she put her head inside

Her fate would already be sealed

Is this moment really happening

Or if she blinks again

Will she wake up and find this was all a wonderful dream

She patted her wolfy

And see? Wolves aren’t so mean…
