Yesterday was a gorgeous day so I went off to explore The Walpole Town Forest again. It’s a place I try to get to each season every year. Every time I go I find so many new things to love about it.🌳
This amazing network of forestry is around 400 acres of beautiful trails and scenic views of the neponsit river, ponds and swamps.
But it isn’t just an amazing place to hike, swim and relax on a stroll using one of the short loops it’s also full of history as well. Like a snapshot in time.
While you are strolling through you will see ruin remains of stone homes. A sitting spot in what was once a beautiful garden and cemetery of the family who lived and worked this land.
The other Snapshot in time is the remains of an old mill that was part of the birth of the industrial Revolution. This land adapted to the changes of the times and how fun it is to see it all as you walk along! I highly recommend reading more about it when you can.
*As a disclaimer the fireplace was filmed back In November of last year.
A video of my visit there…
